What’s a Vertical Ad Network?
Vertical advertising networks provide online advertising solutions across a highly-focused community of websites. The participating websites are usually medium to smaller-sized sites focused on a narrow market niche.
Research has proven smaller focused sites attract and retain a much higher engaged and passionate audience. One recent study by comScore reported people targeted through vertical ad networks spent 60% more time in their site category vs. the average category visitor (read the study here).
What’s the Value of a Vertical Ad Network?
In a word: Focus. By concentrating on very defined market segments, vertical ad networks provide advertisers focused targeting for their online campaigns. Such focus removes waste and enables more engaging advertising.
While vertical ad networks focus on medium and smaller-sized websites, the underlying ad-serving and targeting technology is the same used by the biggest websites and larger horizontal ad networks.
