April 25, 2010 – We spent the day walking the Edelbrock (Torrance, CA) 5th Annual Charity Car “Rev’d Up for Kidz” Show. The show and dinner Saturday night, raised money for the Center for Learning Unlimited a great local center for children with special learning needs.
We’ll be posting up some photos later, but I thought you’d like to see some early pictures. The 1958 Corvette is actually a car I found in a friend’s garage in the late 1990′s. At the time my wife and I had just started a family. So I called Vic Edelbrock and he quickly bought the car, sight unseen. The car was 99% original (it still had the OE spark plug wires) and was the owner’s high school graduation gift. This is a close as I’ll ever come to a classic “barn find” we’ve all heard about. As you can see, Vic and his crew really restored this to better shape than original!
This next image is a classic Triumph. Don’t know much about the history, but I love Triumph motorcycles so just had to include.
