Omni-Channel Focus: we will help you build online advertising campaigns to support both consumers and all your business partners throughout your distribution network. There is no reason to exclude valuable resellers in any type of digital ad platform.
Think Audience First, Ad Platform Second: We first build methods to target unique prospects and customers, regardless of the ad platform. A common mistake advertisers make is to think “what type of ad” before building out the exact audience you want to make. Once you know how to define and profile your target audience, deciding the type of ad and the ad platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, Google Search, Reddit Social, etc.) is an easier choice. In many cases, you can actually have multiple ads running on the same platform, but each is targeting specific audiences.
You Own the Click: Many online marketers don’t realize that your paid online ads can click to ANY website. For instance, your Google PPC Search Ads can click back to your website; your display banners on content websites can click to your retail partners; your YouTube video ads can click to your e-Commerce partners, and your Facebook social ads can click to your Amazon.com store page. Of course, all your online ads can click to your website!
For instance we can deploy PPC search campaigns that uses both specific keywords on Google and Bing Search, but these search ads only appear to specific types of prospects. For example, we can use the same keywords for a motorcycle helmet, but a motorcycle dealer will see a different ad than the motorcycle consumer rider will see.
Most of our general branding clients need campaigns to support these key advertising strategies and accounts:
Your Website Traffic: Many marketers prefer that their online ads click back to their website. This is a good strategy if you believe your website does the best job of educating and connecting with prospective and current customers. Or maybe you also sell your products online. Or maybe you operate a Dealer Locator and prefer consumers find authorized resellers on your website.
The advantage of linking ads back to your website(s) is that you can deeply measure conversions on your website. We’re able to install tracking code on your website that will synchronize with your paid ad clicks. This means we can provide conversion ROI metrics to tell you which ad creative, which audience target, and which ad platform generate the most valuable conversions on your website.
Wholesale: We can build niche ads and targeting to reach your wholesale clients and the key personnel at these businesses. In some cases, we will target specific geographic areas. For instance, you might want to launch a new product, but you segment the country into regions so that each ad clicks to a different wholesaler.
Dealers & Trade Partners: You can use targeted ads to reach your wholesalers’ customers. While you might not sell directly to collision repair shop owners, you can advertise to them and then direct the clicks to your wholesale partners. Or we can even build a free landing page on your website that lists all your wholesale distributors where online ads can click to.
Retail: We often build “co-op” ads that feature your products and are co-branded with your company logo and the logo of a key retailer. We can build logic to treat all your retail partners fairly, rotating the ads equally or targeting ads in specific geographic regions.
Partner e-Commerce: You probably have many direct clients that sell direct to consumers via their e-commerce websites. As with your retail partners, we can set up ads to drive traffic to these e-commerce websites. We can develop logic to treat your e-commerce clients fairly with geographic or equally weighted advertising.
eCommerce Marketplaces: You might even sell through large marketplaces like Amazon, eBay Motors and Walmart Marketplace. Digital Throttle has expertise in setting up and maintaining digital ads that run on platforms such as ebay.com, wallmart.com and amazon.com. We also link our reporting to these platforms so you have a consolidated view of your online advertising investment.
General PR & Exposure: You can use many types of online advertising to promote your company's PR and product announcements. Some say PR efforts are not worth it, but we have several innovative techniques to help you create wide-ranging awareness.
Marketers seeking to maximize both ad impressions and clicks shuold place ads on what we call the "Big Four": Social Media, PPC Search, Display Banners and YouTube. See this page for a summary of all the online ad types we specialize in.
On average, our typical “Big Four” media budget looks like: 40% Paid Social Media Advertising on Facebook and Instagram, 20% Display Banners (using Google Demand Gen), 30% pay-per-click (PPC) search ads on Google and Bing, and the balance of 10% on YouTube.
We start by analyzing your current site traffic - we want to know the type of people your site is already attracting. We also ask you to identify your key competitors and resellers. We have techniques to analyze users visiting those sites.
Every person who connects to the internet leaves behind a “digital fingerprint”. Examples that build this unique digital fingerprint are search engine use, websites you visit, purchases you make, videos you watch, and social media content you engage with. Each ad platform has various targeting methods to show your ads to people with shared “fingerprints”. For instance, someone who is considering a new vehicle purchase will perform searches on Google, read reviews on edmunds.com and visit websites like ford.com. We’re experts at leveraging all the methods to find your exact target audience via any digital ad platform.
We install Google Tag Manager (also known as “GTM”) tracking on any website you control. In the GTM container, we have code to track every click to your website and record certain key conversions such as “find a dealer”, “make a purchase”, or “contact us”. We are also able to attribute these visits and conversions to the specific online ad campaigns we manage for you.
We admit, most online advertising is geared to consumer advertising. There are some business-only online advertising options, such as LinkedIn for “white-collar” advertising, but you need an experienced partner to find any type of trade, dealer or business prospects. Above we talked about using “Digital Fingerprints” - this is especially important to find non-consumers with online ads. When we advertise to businesses on popular consumer platforms, like Facebook, our goal if to maximize the probability the ads will be seen by a trade or business professional. The probability is never 100%, but we use all the technical tools and decades of experience to be well over 80% probability.
While video is the most engaging type of advertising, you should still have still images of your product or service. For display banners on websites and apps, static images are the preferred method. If you don’t have a video, we can create a video for you using your existing videos and images. We will also utilize multiple types of ads to measure. In general, we like to run at least two ads, one with video and one static. We then compare results to optimize.
We are able to measure e-commece and other non-shopping website conversions. For instance, your goal may be to collect email addresses or views of your product video. For each key conversion, we will establish a dollar value for that conversion. Then we add up the conversion values that each unique ad generated. We calculate and display the conversion ROI for any time period you select. See our REPORTING PAGE for more details.
While your site may not sell directly to the trade or public, hopefully, there are other methods on your sites where people locate resellers or receive a quote. We call these types of website actions “Purchase Path Conversions,” and while not a final sale, we will work with you to determine a reasonable value for each conversion. For instance, you sell a boat trailer for $4,500, and you estimate 5% of the people who perform a dealer search will end up buying the trailer.. So we will assign a conversion value of $225 to the “find a dealer” search button.
